Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to drop a note to let you know if you are like me and not a typical bridezilla on the dress shopping front this place was really really good. I had been to about 5 different shops in Carlow/Laois area and my head was done in with the "normal" pantomime of pushy sales assistants and everything being " gorgeous".This only confuses a pretty hard decision to make.

I'm probably in the minority in that I don't enjoy shopping and was getting dress blindness by shop 3. The girl here laura was amazing- very in tune to what yo wanted and not pushing a hard sell at all. My mam and I were almost bullied into "You'll need to buy now if getting married in November" by the usual shops but laura was really great. Also was a great help offering alterations to different dresses if you needed some- train lengthening, different back zips etc. Almost tailor the dress to how you want it.

If you enjoy the whole pomp and ceremony of going to millions of shops and having lots of people on you pushing a sale then this is not for you but if like me you actually felt relaxed and didn't feel badgered then this place is ace. Great accessories too and you don't feel badgered into making decision there and then. Large selection and size range and very professional/personable. Needless to say I picked my dress here- very different from what I thought I wanted but a very unique personal service. Also there is follow up service and she is only at the end of an email for any questions yo have which I found nice.

Good luck with your search and have bridezillaphobics like me have faith there is still some places out there for people like us !!

Hi Laura,
It seems a long time since we came into your shop looking for wedding stationery – but here we are, the wedding was on 8th May, we got home off honeymoon on Sunday, and we're all back to normal! I'd just like to thank you for the part you played in making our wedding day really special. Lots of our guests commented on the invitations – they really set the tone for the rest of the celebration.

I got my dress in Athy, there's a new bridal boutique called " I do" weddings by Laura Leigh. She has some fabulous dresses and the customer service is excellent, even after you put down your deposit! They do all the alterations too and the seamstress is excellent. Laura does wedding planning too so can advise on other things as well. Visit their site
